Proactive Interactivity!

So I mentioned a few months ago on here that one of my goals for TR was interactivity between you and the story. Here's the first example of that. It'll be free with a book purchase at the con, and anyone who wants to can send me three words and a sketch to be put up here on the blog! If I really like your character, I might put them in the story somewhere! -Z

First the scanner, now the camera

Like the title says, first my scanner went wonky and now my camera isn't transferring images. The plan was to take a picture of me wearing the t-shirt, so you guys could see what it looks like. As soon as I have this figured out, I'll post it. In the mean time, check back tonight after 9:00 pm- I have work, but I'm going to put together something cool I'm doing for the con on my break. I'll scan it and you guys can take a look! -Z

EDIT: Okay! My sister helped out with a temporary solution! Thank goodness for camera phones. The pictures were taken in low light, but they'll do to let you guys know what you're getting.

Late but great (I hope!)

Thanks for being patient with me, guys. As promised, here are the first three pages.

Heads up!

1:30 in the morning is still technically Saturday.

This is (obviously) a heads up for this week. I don't have anything to show today due to unforeseen technoillogicalities, so I hope you guys can be patient. As soon as I've sorted everything out, I plan to put up the first three pages of chapter 2. I'm proud of these- I've dropped the tones for this issue and I'm giving hand lettering a shot. Just like any other experiment there are hiccups, but overall I think it's looking really good and I'm excited to show it to you. We just both have to control our frustration until I can make my robotic friends work properly again.

Look for it Sunday or Monday on the outside. You and me, kid. We're off to great places. Today is our day.

T-shirt design and birthday!

Here's the first t-shirt design- I've scrapped the second since I don't have the cash for two. Also, I threw together a birthday pic for Zass. See you guys next week!

Birthdays!

The stencil designs and pages are still forthcoming- this update is just to give everyone a heads up on Zasters B-day! It's tomorrow. You can wish her a happy one on facebook or send an e-mail to grapegroove@gmail.com. See you tomorrow!

Wizard world!

As I may have mentioned, Mia Paluzzi (AKA Rocketshoes) and I will have a table together at Wizard World Chicago, June 26-29. Thinking about production and shipping time, that gives me roughly ten days to knock out this next chapter and maybe some t-shirt designs. However, I have run into financial troubles, so the t-shirts may or may not happen- I'd really like to get some up and running, though. Expect to see the t-shirt stencil designs on Saturday, if nothing else. Hope everyone's summer is off to a great start! -Z
